Original Watercolors

Watercolor is my first medium and I have been painting with it en plein air and in studio for 41 years. Over time I have developed my own approach and distinctive style and still find it to be the most fluid and immediate of the painting mediums. I paint with no sketching or preliminary or under drawing. I love this direct approach and finding my way with the painting is what makes it lively and fascinating for me as an artist.  

Please note that each painting has dimension details for Image Size, Matted Size, and Framed Size. If matted or framed, white cotton rag mat (the best) is used and the image is floated just inside the matting. This way the entire image is shown and nothing is hidden under the mat. It is a beautiful presentation which features the distinctive quality of the watercolor paper. I am proud that my pieces do not need to be cropped to correct any compositional flaws!
